Community through food is our ability to build healthier communities by connecting people to innovative, flavorful and affordable food. We cook from our hearts and believe people experience our love for cooking with each bite.

Community Through Food

Banh Oui is a neighborhood grab and go restaurant focused on the bright eclectic flavors of Los Angeles. Its chef driven menu is modern, fun and flavorful. Banh Oui is a play on words, “banh” in Vietnamese translates to bread and “oui” in French means yes.

We believe sourcing locally, shifting focus to vegetable heavy menu, and spreading community awareness and fair labor practices is the future of our food industry. We are proud to be working with several of SEELA’s Hollywood Farmers Market purveyors, to be representing a voice within Another Round Another Rally, and to be a participating member to a newly found community of female hospitality voices called Regarding Her.

Our Values

“There have been several pivots to Banh Oui. To help control our food costs, we pivoted towards a heavier vegetable friendly menu, shifted our hours to cover all of lunch and part of dinner as to raise the pay wages of our full time employees and allow for a “work smarter not harder mentality”, started working closely with the Hollywood farmer’s market to promote local sourcing and a community feel within the neighborhood, and allowed ourselves to take breaks when the constant mandates began to put too much pressure on us as a business. The financial bottom line is always in my mind, but with COVID, the physical and mental health of my small crew continue to take priority as we begin to shift old hospitality business practices to better reflect the hard work of working at a restaurant.”
